| I have an electric water pump and a controller to regulate temperature. Since there is no thermostat and the recirculation port is blocked off, the pump is only pulling coolant from the radiator and not the recirculation circuit. Yes, the heater core return pipe dumps into the thermo housing, which is where the pump draws coolant from. If you dont have the heater on, there is hot coolant recirculating back into the engine regardless of the thermostat position. In my setup, I didn't blockoff the heater core circuit, so there is some amount of recirculated coolant coming from that circuit although I have blocked off the primary recirculation port. Combine the heater core circuit along with this recirculation bleed port and it is almost no wonder why people have overheating issues when pushing modded Z's really hard.
